Children's Ukulele Classes

Uke 1 is the first semester of instruction for children, ages 6-12 for ukulele.
Group instruction is the best way to learn ukulele – Children will enjoy singing and playing with friends in this fun class!

Group Ukulele (Ages 6-12)
Class Day and Times:
Tuesdays - 4:00pm or 5:00pm
Class begins: Tues, Feb 6th, 2018 - May 29th
Classes are 1 hour long, 1x per week

This is a 4-month semester-long class with a recital performance at the end.
Class Location: Best In Music - 444 W 800 N, Orem

Cost:
$59 tuition payments x 4
$25 registration fee
$10 materials fee (student binder is included with assignment sheets and songs for the semester)

Materials Needed
Ukulele (soprano, concert or tenor size - must be good enough quality to stay in tune)
Clip-on ukulele tuner (required for each student)

Adult Piano Class

 

Recreational Music Making - focused on personal growth and pleasure rather than performance or measured achievement

Class Details: Adult beginners (ages 18 and older) attend 1 hour long weekly class, Mondays 10am or 11am

Level: Beginner (book 1) or 1 or 2 years experience (book 2)

Materials: included in the tuition cost

Cost: $170, full 8-week course

Hymn bootcamp

This 8-week camp will improve your child’s sight reading and help them feel more confident about reading and playing the LDS Hymns.  They will also get some fun conducting experience along the way!  If you can fit this boot camp in your schedule this summer I highly recommend you have your student go through this experience. It will be so valuable to your child!  Teens and adults can also go through this boot camp!

Let’s Play Music is a music course for children that emphasizes total musicianship through piano playing, singing, classical music, note reading and ear training…all accomplished through play! Children start this program between the ages of 4-6.

Sound Beginnings (Ages 0-4)

Sound Beginnings is education through musical play for ages 0-4 with a parent. This music course includes folk songs, nursery rhymes, finger plays, story books, preschool education, dancing, singing and games. This class delights children as they develop intelligence and confidence in a setting of music, playfulness and parental nurturing.

Let’s Play Music PRESTO! (Ages 7-12)

Let’s Play Music PRESTO is our Let's Play Music piano and total musicianship curriculum designed for older beginners (students age 7-12). This accelerated curriculum is perfect for beginners who are older than the Let’s Play Music entry age.

  • 45 minutes = $110.00 per month
  • 60 minutes = $135.00 per month

Annual Registration Fee

  • $25.00 per student or $50.00 per family with 2 or more students enrolled

Homeschool

Homeschool students enrolled with Harmony Education, Lumen, or My Tech High will find classes offered at the Best in Music Education Center a great way to supplement the homeschool curriculum and meet the state fine arts requirements.

Harmony Education

Harmony Education Services reimburses Best in Music Education Center for Harmony enrolled students for up to 2 lessons per student. Harmony students are responsible to pay the difference of the early bird tuition rates after the Harmony reimbursement. In order to qualify for the Harmony Education program at BIMEC, students must be enrolled for lessons between 10:00am and 3:00pm, no exceptions. BIMEC teachers will submit a monthly report card for each Harmony student to Harmony Education Services in order to verify that students receive school credit. Lumen

Lumen offers full reimbursement for music lessons directly to the families. Lumen students must pay tuition in full each month, and then at the end of every month BIMEC will provide Lumen with the student invoices to receive reimbursement. In order to qualify for the Lumen program, students must attend lessons between 10:00 and 3:00, no exceptions. For more information, please call us at 801-802-0625!

My Tech High

My Tech High also offers reimbursement for music lessons directly to the families. My Tech High students must pay tuition in full each month, and then at the end of every semester BIMEC will provide My Tech High students with an invoice to submit to My Tech High to receive reimbursement. In order to qualify for the My Tech High program, students must attend lessons between 10:00 and 3:00, no exceptions. For more information, please call us at 801-802-0625!
